The Electronic Systems Laboratory (ESL) is a Computer and Control Systems Group laboratory in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Stellenbosch. It provides opportunities to graduate students and industries to become involved in joint developments of significant size. We aim to maintain skills in computers, data communications, imaging and system simulation through prototype developments with industry. Summaries of the research fields of the Computer and Control Systems Group are listed here.
The ESL forms a major part of the CoX in Autonomous Flight at Stellenbosch University. The CoX specializes in developing and implementing complex embedded control, automation and information systems. For a detailed description of the Background, Organization and Activities of the centre please read through these slides.
